About Us:

service connecting the south side of Sydney Harbour with the north and was eventually given a grant of Billy Blue’s real name is unknown but he’s thought to have been given the name we know him by today because he had three small rowing boats.
England had three fleets during the Napoleonic Wars. Each fleet was identified by the colours, red, white and blue. The Blue fleet was under the command of Sir William Cornwallis who always flew a long blue pennant from the mizzen mast on his flag ship. Among the fleets, and particularly in the lower decks,  Sir William’s nickname was Billy Blue [Billy of the Blue line].

Billy Blue, the man, first came to public notice before the London courts in the late 1700's and arrived in Sydney as a convict in 1801. He was given a seven year
sentence for stealing a small amount of sugar. He was thought to have been half American Indian, half African black. He became good friends with Governor Macquarie, not easy for a black ex con, then or now. He began a rowing boat.

80 acres at what is now called Blues Point. At Blue's Point nowadays, you can't buy the worst house in the street for a million bucks.

    Where we are?

Sydney is a safe, friendly and tolerant city. Immigrants from more than two hundred countries have come here in the last fifty years to live in a city that extends from the South Pacific Ocean in the east to the Blue Mountains in the west. It’s a city of beaches and pavement cafés with possibly the most varied cuisine anywhere in the world. It’s an exciting city to live in. If you’re coming from overseas expect a warm welcome.

The School is situated on two levels of the Northpoint building in the heart of North Sydney’s CBD. This means buses run past the door and North Sydney train station is just a few minutes down the road. It also means we’re really close to the city. In fact you could walk there in about twenty minutes across the Harbour Bridge!
