University of Sydney students and researchers come from all over the world and all backgrounds to prepare for a life of challenge and change.

Close to the heart of Australia's largest and most international city, our central campus has been transformed by the recent completion of state-of-the-art teaching, research and student support facilities.

Our researchers pursue cutting-edge breakthroughs, reaching across disciplinary barriers to find unique solutions to improve and transform our lives. Studying alongside these top researchers, and in some cases contributing to their research, exposes Sydney students to excellence – and challenges them to succeed as leaders in whatever career field they choose.
Student life at Sydney uni is vibrant and unique.

We believe that while you're at uni, you should have fun both inside and outside the classroom. And with more than 200 clubs and societies, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy your favourite hobbies with like-minded friends, and make your time at uni so much more fulfilling.
We are one of the largest societies on campus with over 1000 members, and this year we’ve had unprecedented numbers of students at our events. These have included fortnightly pancakes, intervarsity trivia with UNSW and UTS ChocSocs, and an evening Easter egg hunt, just to name a few.

We’re especially proud of our achievements because the society has grown thanks to our dedicated group of executives, who’ve worked and continue to work to create a comfortable environment where students of all grades and disciplines can come together and socialise.

What unites us is a fun-loving attitude, sweetened by our love of chocolate.
We have our own fleet of dinghies and windsurfers at Woollahra Sailing Club and enjoy casual social sailing generally every second weekend, barring foul weather. We also take our craft on weekend trips a few times a semester, soaking up the sun on beaches from Hawk’s Nest to Jervis Bay. These activities are open to total beginners and are considered to be a highlight of their university experience by both our international exchange students and locals.
