The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs through five faculties: Business and Law; Education and Arts; Engineering and Built Environment; Health; Science and Information Technology.

The University operates on two main campuses. The largest, set on a 140 hectare natural bushland site is at Callaghan, about 12 kilometres west of the Newcastle central business district. The other is located on a picturesque 85 hectare Central Coast site at Ourimbah, half way between Newcastle and Sydney. The University's Conservatorium of Music, Legal Centre and Graduate School of Business are all located in Newcastle's central business district.

The University provides a range of support services, designed to provide access to information and resources that will make your time at the university a rich and academically rewarding experience.

The University libraries offer a wide range of materials in a variety of formats - from traditional books and serials to films, multimedia and networked information from around the world. Highly skilled staff are available to assist you to use the local collections and find information on special topics. A library coordinator for international students offers specialist support.

Every student is provided with an email account. We offer a campus-wide, fibreoptic network that provides access to several online specialist and public domain information services. Access to internet services can be gained through the University's libraries as well as disciplinebased computing networks. Both campus libraries offer wireless internet connections.

Accommodation
The University recognises the importance of secure, affordable and comfortable accommodation and offers both on-campus and off-campus accommodation options. There are four residential colleges on the Callaghan Campus in Newcastle, and one smaller college on the Central Coast Campus. The University offers a homestay service, which provides you with an opportunity to live in a home with an Australian family. We can also arrange temporary accommodation for your arrival and provide a free accommodation service to assist you in finding off-campus accommodation.
