About MIBT:
MIBT has a proud tradition since 1997 of offering the advantages of a pathway to university within a 'boutique' envirnoment. Thousands of our graduates from all over the world, including Australia, have gone on to the second year of Deakin University, successfully completing degrees in the areas of Commerce, Computing and Media and Communication.
You are at an important stage in your life, choosing the right pathway from high school to university, and the MIBT team looks forward to working with you to achieve your educational goals as many students before you have done.
MIBT academic staff are experienced and dedicated. They work closely with the student support team to ensure that you will have a successful transition from the MIBT Diploma directly into Year 2 at Deakin University. Our classes are small and concentrated, taught by university lecturers in a supportive environment where the focus is you, the student. If you seek an alternative to Year 12, MIBT offers the Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies where students are treated like university students, with strong academic and pastoral support.
Courses:
MIBT offers Certificate and Diploma courses in the areas of business/commerce, computing/information technology, health sciences and media and communication.
For Students Who completed-11 year
MIBT offers the Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies course in the following streams:
- Business
- Information Technology
- Mass Communication
This course is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and other university foundation programs. It aims to prepare you for further study in the MIBT Diploma courses, as well as providing a relevant qualification for employment purposes. Successful completion of the Certificate IV qualification is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework.

MIBT Diploma programs are offered in association with Deakin University as an alternative pathway to undergraduate studies. The Diploma consists of Deakin’s first year degree units and is moderated by Deakin academic staff thus ensuring that the University’s high academic standards are maintained at all times. Upon successful completion of the MIBT Diploma program, you are guaranteed entry into the second year of the relevant Deakin University degree program*. A full year’s credit is also available at many other universities around Australia.
The Diploma courses are accredited by the Office of Higher Education, Department of Education and Training, Victoria.
* Entry into second year university is dependent on students successfully completing the MIBT Diploma and meeting university academic criteria.
